What’s On Offer: Established in 2012, this private free-of-tie lease specialises in top-quality Spanish and Italian charcuterie as small plates and sharing boards “with minimal fuss”, including wafter-thin Iberico Bellota – hand carved in house and excellent cheeses from Britain, France and Spain. Ham’s ploughman’s combinesLincolnshire Poacher, Culaccia (Parma Ham), Nduja (spicy spreadable salami) and Giardiniera (pickled vegetables). Online shop sells products from knives and aprons to hampers and vouchers.
Best-selling Dishes: Spanish board – Jabugo Iberico, Iberico Bellota chorizo, Manchego and Garrotxa cheeses (£16.50); Ogleshield raclette-style cheese on grilled potatoes (£6.50).
Drinks Offer: rotating selection of microbrewery beers on cask and craft keg with 100 plus bottles. Interesting wine selection, offered by the glass and sherries.
Business Innovations: closed for two weeks in 2014 to expand into neighboughing unit, increasing space and covers by 60%. Introduced full table service, including to customers who are only drinking. Food and drink hamper sales began around Christmas 2013.
Plans for 2015: to introduce more innovative range of tasting and meet-the-producer events and increase retail offering.
