St James X Pet Nat & Skin Contact with Courtyard Dairy
With the arrival of Spring each year our excitement builds for the first batch of St James, one of our absolute favourite cheeses. A washed rind sheep’s milk cheese, produced in small batches for a limited time over Spring & Summer by Nicola Robinson and Martin Gott up in Cartmel, Cumbria.
A cheese of many faces, St James can differ brilliantly from batch to batch; being either firm, mineral and fresh or soft, oozing and smokey rich.
This evening will be a rare occasion to taste St James in it’s many different guises, paired alongside the natural wines we like it with best: cleansing, energetic Pet-Nats & complex, vibrant skin-contact (Orange) wines.
